From the Fall of 2011 until graduation in Spring of 2013, I was employed at 106.9 Home.fm, a commercial radio station that plays feel-good summer hits around the clock. I worked on-air 7-9 p.m. weekdays and 1-3 p.m. weekends.
Under the title of Administrative Artistic Assistant, I produced various audio projects for Spring Arbor University’s Communication Department. My first project was a 3 hr and 45 min audio book that I edited, recorded, and promoted for Clark Cothern’s, At the Heart of Every Great Father.
The following year, I performed the same audio treatment to Wally Metts’, The Santa Papers.
I also created Counterpoint, a student-lead audio series that worked to inform the listener with news, inspire with art, and challenge with different perspectives.
While I was editor, Counterpoint met on a weekly basis, stories were assigned and I helped assist students who were still learning how to edit and create audio work. Majority of the pieces were made with Adobe Audition.
