Radio Plays

In the fall of 2020, WGTE Public Radio collaborated with the University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film to create a radio adaptation of the 1946 Christmas classic, It’s a Wonderful Life. The script was adapted by UT theatre professor Matt Foss while I took on the responsibilities of audio engineer, editor, producer… and actor (I play Mary).

Although this production took place during a pandemic, safety was a priority as recordings occurred individually. We moved quickly, recording over the course of 3 weeks in early autumn.

It’s a Wonderful Life aired December 22nd and 24th 2020 at 8:00 pm on FM 91 and is available to stream below:

After the success of It’s a Wonderful Life, I was asked to produce another holiday radio play. I chose 1940’s The Shop Around the Corner. I directed, edited, produced, and acted (playing the role of Clara) in this adaptation which aired December 22nd and 24th 2021 at 7:00 pm on FM 91.
