In October of 2020, I co-produced a production of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with the University of Toledo Department of Theatre & Film. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of the actors mimed their performances on stage with masks. My job was to direct and record each actor’s dialogue with added sound design.
In early spring of 2019 and 2020 (pre-pandemic) I was a co-producer of The Art of the Cut, in connection with The Toledo Museum of Art and Promedica Health Care. This live event examines the intersection of art and health while celebrating local Black barbers and their roles as artists and men’s wellness advocates. I created audio packages for the event, interviewing local barbers and helping to share their story.
In December of 2019, I was cast in the lead role of a theatre production of Remember the Night produced by the Lakeside Theatre Company in Toledo, Ohio.
In December of 2018, I assisted in the production and performance of Portraits of Toledo, a culmination of a months-long series of storytelling events and workshops hosted across Toledo in a collaboration between the Toledo Museum of Art and the University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film.
